NATCHEZ — Services for Jacob Gilbert Lafferty, 19, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Oglesby officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Highland Baptist Church.

Jacob was born in Natchez, the son of Jessie Marvin Lafferty Sr. and Julie Havard Lafferty.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; brothers Pvt. Jessie Lafferty Jr. and wife Rachel; Justin Lee Lafferty; sister Jodilyn Lafferty; his maternal grandparents John and Hazel Havard; aunts Charlotte “Cookie” Snow, Shelley Poole and husband Jerry; uncle Johnny and wife Stephanie Havard; nephew Evan Elijah Lafferty; paternal grandfather James “Lefty” Lafferty; paternal grandmother Martha Carolyn Lambert; great grandmother W. Lafferty; cousins Josh Havard and wife Tiffany; Jeremy and Jared Poole; Try Havard; Kristen Havard and many other aunts, uncles, friends; and his dog Duke.

The family requests memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church.
