UNION CHURCH – Services for Clentonia Washington, 85, of Union Church, who died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 at her residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Block United Methodist Church with the Rev. Burnell Newsome officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Washington was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Edward Good and Mary Gilchrist. She was a housewife and a member of Hickory Block United Methodist Church where she served as a mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hudson and son Jimmy Washington.

Survivors include her daughter Catherine Miller of Union Church; a number of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
