PORT GIBSON – Services for Lucy Mae “Lulu” Parker, 62, of Crosby, who died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, in Port Gibson, with the Rev. Frank McGreiggs officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Parker was born Oct. 21, 1945, in Port Gibson, the daughter of Matt and Mary Parker.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandmother, Florence Champ.
Survivors include a daughter, Jonesia M. Parker of Crosby; sons, Curtis Parker and wife, Verma, and Wendell Parker and wife, Connie, all of Dallas; her father; sisters, Elaine Joseph, Bettye Jean Parker, Linda Jackson and husband, Charles, and Anita Parker, all of Dallas, and Marie Herrington of Port Gibson; brothers, Alfred Parker and wife, Ernetta, both of Jackson, Douglas Parker and wife, Ethel, both of Dallas, Larry Ray Parker of Port Gibson, Junior Herrington and wife, Leisshorn, and Johnny Herrington, all of Fayette; seven grandchildren, Donavon, Shania, Shanice, Rosalyn and Tenaveia Parker, all of Dallas, Tramarcus Jackson of Centreville and Jameanesha Cooper of Crosby; and a number of other relatives and friends.
