MONTEREY – Services for Edna Blount Morgan, 83, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, March 9, 2008, in Ferriday, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Monterey Church of Christ with Bro. Billy Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at Monterey Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Morgan was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Monterey, the daughter of Howard and Phoebe Blount. She was a homemaker and was a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Scott and Donald Scott; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Dewitt Morgan Jr.; four sons, Barry Scott and wife, Debra, both of New Orleans, Barry Morgan and wife, Shelly, both of St. Louis, Charles Scott and wife, Nan, both of Houston, and Brian Morgan and wife, Jayne, both of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Laura, Chris and Katy Scott, Kaeli and Talia Morgan, Kyle and Carlee Holzhalb; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wes Steel, Howard Blount, David Reeves, Hershel Reeves, Jeff Lancaster and Dan Steel.
