FERRIDAY – Services for Sharon Gillespie Hedrick, 55, of Deville, La., who died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Wilkerson officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Hedrick was born June 24, 1952, in Wisner, La., the daughter of Lovis and S.D. Gillespie. She was employed with International Paper Company as a shipper for 23 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Gillespie and Harry Gillespie; and one sister, Mary Jo Gillespie.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Gillespie of Pineville, La.; one brother, Dwight Gillespie of Sicily Island, La.; and six sisters, Anita Alexander of Cash Bayou, La., Helen Smith of Zachary, La., Barbara Lee of Monroe, La., Diane Gillespie, Carolyn Hayes and Patricia Martin, all of Pineville, La.
Pallbearers will be Gene Williams, Gary Johnson, Garry Hayes, Randy Hayes, Eric Hayes and Johnny Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Gillespie and Lynn Nelms.
