NATCHEZ – Services for Jimmy Perry, 53, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating.
Burial will follow at Lagrange Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction Webb Funeral Home.
Mr. Perry was born July 23, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Annie B. Hawkins and Phillip Curtis. He was retired from K.C.S. Lumber Company. Mr. Perry was a member of the National Police and Trooper Association and a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge in the late 1970s. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one aunt and goddmother, Betty J. Miles; and three brothers, Arrick Hawkins, Edward L. Hawkins and Willie Miles.
Survivors include his father and wife, Dell; three children, Robert Myles and wife, Brenda, LaVonda Belton and husband, Timothy, and Karen Curtis and husband, Larry; 13 grandchildren, Lisa Hutchins and husband, Eric, Kimberly Hutchins, Kendrell Miles, Robert Jr., Jimmy Lee, Keith Belton, DeOndria, KaDarious, Kiana Miles, Elease, Natasha, Natrina, and Orena Johnson; one great-grandchild, Jer’Marcus Hutchins; 26 siblings, Vernon Perry, Claude Hawkins, Farrin Hawkins, Troy Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins and wife, Janet, Oliver Hawkins, Errick Hawkins and wife, LaTasha, all of Chula Vista, Calif., Darnell Curtis and wife, Karen, Mary R. Perry, Clara M. Hawkins, Joyce Butler and husband, Charles, Sarah Carter and husband, Robert, Cheryl Hawkins, Janice Hawkins, Vanessa Clay and husband, James, Nicole Hawkins and Michelle Hawkins, Phyliss Collins and husband, Booker, Phillip Curtis Jr., Ann Godbold and husband, Freddy, all of Detroit, and Mary Curtis of New Orleans, Bobbie Mitchell and husband, Henry, Joseph Miles and wife, Clara, Janice Carter and husband, James, Herman Miles, Charles Miles and wife, Janice, all of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
