Geneva Harris

NATCHEZ – Services for Geneva Harris, who died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in New Orleans, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was the daughter of Willie Foster and Louise Drake Foster. She joined St. Mary Baptist Church after being displaced after hurricane Katrina. She enjoyed traveling, attending her family’s reunions and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of many years, Sam Harris; five sisters, Laura Meyers, Susie Bishop, Maria Posey, Marie Foster and Beatrice Gaylor; five brothers, George Foster, Albert Foster, Clarence Foster, Bennie Foster Sr. and C.B. Gaylor.
Survivors include one son, Charles Harris of New Orleans; one grandson, Rodney Harris Sr. and wife, Cherri, both of Baton Rouge; one granddaughter, Rachelle Krantz and husband, Marvin, both of New Orleans; two great-grandchildren, ShaKayla Harris and Rodney Harris Jr., both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Ella Johnson of Chicago; one sister-in-law, Thelma Harris of Natchez; one godchild, Adrian Fulton of Keller, Texas; nine nieces, Mary Minor, Geneva Newchurch, Delores Foster, Robbie Fulton, Shirley Simpson, Wanda Castle, Dorothy Foster, Thelma Latham and Evelyn Smith; 13 nephews, Leroy Gaylor, Bennie Foster Jr., Willie Gaylor, Joe Foster, James Gaylor, Michael Gaylor, Michael Foster, Tony Washington, David Gaylor, Gregory Washington, Clarence Henry, Albert Henry and Earl Henry; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews.
