NATCHEZ – Services for Morris Dunmore Jr., 51, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Friday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dunmore was born Aug. 24, 1956, in Adams County, the son of Morris Dunmore Sr. and Elizabeth Dunmore. He attended Adams County Schools and was employed as a logger with Quinn’s Logging Company.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Barbara Dunmore Thompson.
Survivors include his devoted mother; two sons, Tyaundria Battiest and Demond Hutchins, both of Natchez; seven daughters, Jockay and Kiwianis Battieste, Tequilla Wilson and husband, Jimmy, Ebony Johnson and husband, James, Shamekia, Kimberly and Morrisa Hutchins, all of Natchez; two brothers, Edward Lee Dunmore and Kerry Dunmore and wife, Annie, all of Natchez; five sisters, Louise Bluford and husband, Charles, both of Brookly Park, Minn., Shirley Fulton and husband, Lorenzo, Brenda Anderson and husband, Carl, Denise Dunmore and Patricia Dunmore, all of Natchez; four aunts, Emma Mae Givens, Lucille Clark and Hattie Mae Dunmore, all of Natchez, and Larmartz Whitley of St. Louis; one uncle, Horace Dunmore of Natchez; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sgt. Joseph S. Conrad Jr., Staff Sgt. Richard Stewart, Staff Sgt. Freddie Batieste, Staff Sgt. Martin Anderson, Sgt. 1st Class Jessie Turner and Bennie L. Heneerson.
