NATCHEZ – Services for Gregory Phipps, 45, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Egypt Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Phipps was born Aug. 29, 1962, in Natchez, the son of Claudia Phipps. He was attended Natchez Public Schools and was employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Egypt Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Edna Phipps; one aunt; and four uncles.
Survivors include Claudia and Mack Easton Jr.; one sister, Brenda Smith and husband, Eddie, both of Vidalia; two brothers, Larry Phipps, both of Natchez, and Corey Phipps and wife, Linda, both of Memphis, Tenn.; two children, Victor Conner of Decatur, Calif., and Jamie Gail of Natchez; grandmother, Annie Bell Washington of Bay City, Texas; and significant other, Sarah Clark of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
