Homer Touchstone

MEADVILLE — Services for Homer Alexander Touchstone, 76, of Meadville, who died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. today at Praise Cathedral in Meadville.
Burial will follow at Byrds Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Touchstone was born April 17, 1932, in Franklin County, the son of William Joseph Touchstone Sr. and Mamie Bell Lee Touchstone. He was retired from International Paper Company in Natchez. He was a member of Praise Cathedral. Mr. Touchstone had served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine Holland Touchstone; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Touchstone and wife, Karen, and Wade Touchstone and wife, Joyce, all of Eddiceton; two daughters, Becky Johnson and husband, Johnny, both of Baton Rouge, and Lisa Williams and husband, Clay, both of McCall Creek; one brother, William Joseph Touchstone Jr. of Smithdale; two sisters, Pauline Clark and Joyce Touchstone Howard, both of Lake Charles, La.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
