JONESVILLE – Graveside services for Jimmie Maier Sr., 70, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Columns Nursing Home in Jonesville, will be at 4 p.m. today at Oswalt Cemetery with the Rev. Stan Wyant officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time today at Lismore Baptist Church.
Mr. Maier was born April 20, 1938, in Oakdale, La., the son of William Henry Maier and Margaret Dunn Maier.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Roxie Eddy of Missouri, Vernonia Shipley and Tracy Bolyer, both of Jonesville; two sons, William Maier of Lismore, La., and Jimmie Maier Jr. of Sandy Lake, La.; two brothers, Michael Maier and Author Maier, both of Monterey, La.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Maier Jr., L.V. Boyler Jr., Michael V. Maier, Francis Peebles, James Davis and Dallas Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Lee Boyler and William Maier.
