ST. JOSEPH — Services for Gregory Lee Strong, 57, of St. Joseph, who died Monday, June 22, 2009, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Watson officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Herridon Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Strong was born March 8, 1952 in New Orleans, the son of Mose and Alberta Williams Strong.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Strong was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Patricia Strong.

Survivors include his mother, Alberta W. Strong of St. Joseph; four brothers, Alex Williams and wife, Charmetta, Clay Foster Sr. and wife, Fannie, Thomas Williams and wife, Erma and Henry Williams and wife, Rosie, all of St. Joseph; six sisters, Alberta Washington and husband, Elgin, both of Baton Rouge, Ruthie M. Brown and husband, Odell, both of Monroe, Ethel Strong and Beatrice Williams, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Yvonne Taylor and husband, Keith, both of Slidell, La., Renae Williams and husband, Wayne Garner, both of St. Joseph; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
