NATCHEZ — Services for Ms. Cerita B. “Rita” Brown, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 27, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. John O’Hallaren, SSJ officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 8 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Ms. Rita was born Nov. 10, in Natchez, the daughter of Walter E. and Ada L. Brown. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and a 1944 graduate of Brumfield High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters and one son, Richard J. “Cookie” Williams Sr.

Survivors include her children, Patricia L. Williams, of Robbins, Ill., Marion W. Williams Sr. and wife, Dianthony, and Laura A. Williams-Jackson, all of Natchez; one god-son, David Ball Jr., of Country Club Hills, Ill.; five grandchildren, Richard J. Williams Jr. and wife, Nafeesa, of Chicago; Carsandra Bacon and husband, Isiah, of Houston, Cerita M. Brown, of Chicago, Marion W. Williams Jr. and wife, Armilee, of Katy, Texas, and Terry L. Williams of Natchez; five great-grandchildren; special nephews Alonzo F. Brown and wife, Francine, and Walter E. Brown Sr. and wife, Mandy; special friends Ms. Ethel Rowan, Ms. Eloise Bass, Ms. Orangie Lee Bruce, Dorothy Reynolds and Joyce Marie Hardin.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, other family members and friends.
