VIDALIA — Services for Gaye Clark, 71, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Crown Health and Rehab in Natchez, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Dusty Carson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born July 29, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Ernest Willie Clark and Teresa Belle Clark. She was a 1956 graduate of Ferriday High School and received her bachelor’s degree in business education from Northwestern State University in 1960. She worked in several capacities in the area, most recently with the Seventh Judicial District Judge’s Office as an instructor for the Louisiana Business College; R.A. Campbell Company; C and D Operating Company; and Campbell Energy Corporation where she served as president for two terms as well as secretary of the Board of Directors.
Mrs. Clark attended First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Willie Mae Clark; and one brother, Hugh E. Clark.
Survivors include one nephew, Christian Clark of Houston, Texas; one niece, Teresa Matherne and husband, Brady, and their children, Caleb and Tyler, all of Pineville, La.; and one sister-in-law, Lynn Clark of Vidalia.
Pallbearers will be Brady Matherne, Mark Crane, Marc Wallace, Ray Routon, Billy Rucker and Curry Matherne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Clark and Art Verdel.
