FERRIDAY — Services for Stephen “Greg” Harris, 45, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Harris was born June 27, 1964, in Ferriday, the son of Edward and Gladys Richardson Harris. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two children, Stephen “Pap” Jefferson and Gregory S. Harris, both of Clayton; four brothers, Edward Harris Jr. and wife, Pam, James Tyler and Jacob Taylor Jr., all of Ferriday, and Malcolm Tyler of Kansas City, Mo.; six sisters, Cynthia Harris of Carterville, Ga., Diana Morgan, Deborah O’Steen and husband, Robert, all of Ferriday, Joyce Burns and husband, Burl, of Monroe, La., Beatrice Clark and Thelma Harris, both of Lewisville, Texas; stepmother, Ernestine Harris of Ferriday; one aunt, Alberta Henderson of Ferriday; Enoch Harris of Saginaw, Mich.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
