FERRIDAY — Services for Jimmy Lewis King, 53, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home with Dr. Eugene Williams, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Loamland Cemetery in Tensas, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. King was born Aug. 16, 1956, in Tensas, La., the son of Bennie King Sr., and Estella Harbor King. He was baptized in June 2001, and was a member of Mount Beulah Baptist Church.

Mr. King was a farmer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Harbor, Larry King and Gregory King; one niece, Malika King; three aunts; and two uncles.

Survivors include six brothers, Bennie King Jr., Curtis King and Jerry King, all of Houston, Texas, Bobby King, Joseph King and wife, Kim, all of Ferriday, and Samuel King of Winnsboro, La.; four sisters, Geraldine Fagan, Martha King, Lorraine Marves and husband, Eddie Ray, and Nical King, all of Houston; nine aunts; six uncles; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be the family.
