MILLERSVILLE, Md. — Nancy Jean Wisyanski, 75, of Gambrills, Md., formerly of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Natchez, died Saturday, 20, 2010, in Annapolis, Md., after an illness of more than a year.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Wisyanski will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville.
Burial will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Arlington National Cemetery under the direction of Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, Md.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wisyanski was born Dec. 2, 1934, in San Francisco, and had lived in Gambrills for more than two years. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late David A. Wisyanski (Colonel, USA Ret.) to whom she was happily married 53 years. In addition to her lifelong career as the consummate Army wife and cherished “helpmate extraordinaire” to her husband, Mrs. Wisyanski spent a number of years as a talented and sought after interior decorator; was passionate about gardening; and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Cindy Douberly.
Survivors include three children, Lori Barroga of Bowie, Don Wisyanski of Roanoke, Texas and Tony Wisyanski of Naples, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
