VIDALIA — Services for Wilson P. Miller, 89, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, March 25, 2010, will be at 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Morris officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mr. Miller was born May 3, 1920, the son of Wilson P. Miller Sr. and Mary Fussell Miller. He was a retired school teacher and was a member of Vidalia United Methodist Church.
Mr. Miller proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne O’Quin Miller; one daughter, Patricia Taylor; his parents; four brothers, Roy, Alton, Glenn and Stanley Miller; and two sisters, Wanzi Miller and Frankie Thomas.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary King and husband, Philip, of Summit and Linda Lawson and husband, Billy, of Miamisburg, Ohio; one son, Paul Miller and wife, Michelle, of Ferriday; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Cory Miller, Patrick Miller, Raymond Murray, Jason Thames, Jeff Taylor, Mike Taylor and Tony Lancaster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Lawson and Donnie Lancaster.
