NATCHEZ — Services for Ida Watson Johnson, 88, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Marble Stone Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Catahoula Parish, the daughter of John and Mandy Blackmon Watson. She was a member of Marble Stone Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Johnson Sr.
Survivors include five loving daughters, Rosie Anderson and husband, Curtis, Lusrea Watson, Johnnie Mae Johnson and Rosia Johnson, all of Natchez, and Lucy Johnson and husband, Henry, of Dallas; two devoted sons, Joseph Johnson Jr. and Samuel Johnson and wife, Ethel, all of Natchez; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Clara Johnson of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
