FERRIDAY — Services for Oma Anita Sturgeon Brown, 88, of Milton, Fla., formerly of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, in Milton, will be at 11 a.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown was born Feb. 21, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Lillie Sturgeon. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Brown; her parents; one brother, C.L. Sturgeon; and three sisters, Viola Jensen, Bobbie Lou Comer and Doris Johnese.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte White and husband, Jim, of Milton, Rita Dean and husband, Scott, of Bryan, Texas and Patricia Underwood of Baton Rouge; one brother, Dan Sturgeon of Zachary, La.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Underwood, Charles Underwood, Michael Beck, Scott Dean, Jim White and Kevin Peaden.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Mullins, Ronnie Martin and Joey White.
