LORMAN — Services for Sadie Doris Murry-Williams, 94, of Corona, Calif., who died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 16, 1915, in Fayette, the daughter of Richard Murry and Nellie Montgomery Burgman. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Mothers Board.
Mrs. Williams was employed by Child and Family Service of Saginaw County and retired in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Frank Tolliver Jr. and Arthur Williams; seven siblings, Rebecca Chambers, Hattie Saunders, Andrew Murry, Hosie Houston, Emma Nealy, Lewis Murry and Joseph Burgman; and one cousin, Nellie Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Tolliver-Gibbs and husband, Alphonso, of Corona and Alda Jean Conley of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two goddaughters, Elizabeth and Shawn Holmes of Saginaw, Mich.; one sister, Luella Murry-Lockett of Houston, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Inez Burgman of Saginaw and Liz Murry of Fayette; six grandchildren, Alphonso Jr., Nell Renee Gibbs-Lankford and husband, Connell, Brian and wife, Zsonelle, all of Maryland, Karen Gibbs-Love and husband, Sam, Edwin and wife, Anna, Cynthia Gibbs-Johnson and husband, Wilson, of California; seven great-grandchildren, Chantelle, Justin, Gabrielle, Brian Noah, Whitney, Terrell and Malcolm; friends, Jessie Terrell of Vicksburg, Marie Tolliver, Eudora Logan and Alberta Jamerson, all of Saginaw, and Mary Hanks of Grenada; loving caregivers, Esther Richard, Tracy Dobbs and Addie Akins; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
