NATCHEZ — Services for Robert A. Buckles Sr., 69, of Natchez, who died Saturday Feb. 12, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Burial will follow at the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:40 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home in Natchez.

Mr. Buckles was born April 3, 1941, in McNair, the son of Claude Aaron and Maggie Granger Buckles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glendall Dianna Buckles; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Rodgers, and husband, Julius, of Natchez; one son, Robert A. Buckles Jr. and wife, Charlotte, of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Penny Rodgers, Robert Trey Buckles III and Abbigail Buckles; one great-grandchild, Tikeria Jackson; one sister, Mildred Buckles and her daughter, Ciero Buckles; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gabe Carmen, Aaron Buckles, C.P. Cavin, Julius Rodgers and Kevin Partridge.
