NATCHEZ — Services for Rickey Lanyon Smith, 65, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Arnolds Personal Care Home in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Wiley Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at Damascus Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home with graveside services at 4:30 p.m. today.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Lake Providence, La., the daughter of Preston Lamar Harris and Cloteal Chappell Harris. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Smith; two sons, James Farris and his wife Jennifer of Georgetown, La., and John Farris of Monterey; one daughter, Sonya Farris of Birmingham, Ala.; three step-sons, Jimmy Smith and his wife Dolly of Vidalia, Wayne Smith and his wife Debra of Natchez and Leslie Smith of Jackson; two brothers, Richard Lamar Harris of Tallulah, La., and Randy Harris of Rockwall, Texas; two grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
