FERRIDAY — Services for Maxine Evalyn Mills, 95, of Vidalia, who died Friday, April 29, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mills Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Rosefield Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mills was born March 10, 1916, the daughter of Ray Sherwood Shepherd and Lulu Blanche Elliott Shepherd. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Mills; her parents; one son, John R. Mills; three brothers, Morris Shepherd, Lee Shepherd and Raymond Shepherd; and one grandson, Deron Mills.

Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Mills and wife, Mary, of Vidalia and David W. Mills and wife, Philamenia, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Williams, Tracy Norris, Jackie Norris, Chamberlain Graves, Edward “Ted” Graves and Nicholas Norris.
