JACKSON — Graveside services for Mary Lynn Birdsong Skinner, 76, of Senatobia, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia.
Mrs. Skinner was born Aug. 3, 1934, the daughter of L.E. and Mary Watts Birdsong. She was raised in Jackson and attended Central High School and Mississippi College.
Mrs. Skinner moved to Natchez in 1960, where she was involved in a number of civic organizations, including the Junior Auxiliary and Pilgrimage Garden Club. She was also a tour guide for Natchez Pilgrimage Tours.
She moved to Birmingham, Ala., then to Atlanta, where she worked for Southern Touch Tours for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Skinner and Leanne Skinner Meng and husband, Gregory; three grandsons, Weldon and Lyndon Meng and Watts Skinner, all of Senatobia; one brother, Dr. W.E. Birdsong and wife, Pat, of Jasper, Ala.; and nieces and nephews and extended family.
