FERRIDAY — A private memorial for Alena Joann Myers, 79, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at a later date.

Myers was a retired bus driver.

Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Norman Myers; parents Grover Cleveland Mathis and Hattie Mae Mathis; son, Michael Eugene Curry and sister Audrey Roberts.

Survivors include sons, Randy Allen Curry and Cleve Curry and wife, Debbie, all of California; daughters, Kathy Johnson and husband, Herbert, of Ferriday and Colleen Hartman and husband, Rodger, of Reno, Nev.; four granddaughters, Mandy Curry, Temma Curry, Kandie Stevens and Shannon Juneau; four grandsons, Scotty Curry, Mike Curry Jr., Eric Cleve Curry and Bryan Johnson and six great-grandchildren.
