NATCHEZ — Services for Thelma Bassett Henry, 69, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilderness Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Henry was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Natchez, the daughter of Abe Bassett and Addie Bruce Bassett. She was formerly employed by the LaQuisine Restaurant in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Effie Mae Thomas; and two stepchildren, Michael Camel and Shaun Camel.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Henry; two daughters, Dontrell Guy of Natchez and Wendy A. Williams of Chicago; two sons, Larry Bassett and wife, Deloris, of Dallas and Gregory Bassett and wife, Sheree, of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Leola B. Harris of Natchez; two brothers, Web Bassett and wife, Doris, of Baton Rouge and Willie Bassett and wife, Betty, of Natchez; two sisters-in-law, Connie Thomas and Diane Thomas; one brother-in-law, Michael Thomas, all of New Orleans; and a number of other relatives and friends.
