NATCHEZ — Services for John Jones, 55, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday City Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jones was born June 11, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Doss Hawkins and Alberta Williams Jones. He was a 1974 graduate of North Natchez High School. He was employed by the City of Natchez Transit Department and NTC Transportation as a bus driver.

Mr. Jones was Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Woods Jones; two sisters, Sandra Smothers of Alexandria, La., and Marguerite Graves of Natchez; one brother, Willie James Wright of Kansas City, Kan.; three stepchildren, Robert Woods, Ronnie Woods and Diane Wesley and husband, Willie, all of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Lillie B. Hargraves; one aunt, Joan E. Nelson; one godsister, Bertha Griffin, all of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.
