CLAYTON — Services for Dorothy Johnson, 55, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 7, 1955, in Ferriday, the daughter of Carrie L. Manuel. She was employed by Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office as a deputy.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Vanessa Johnson-Cowart and husband, Nathaniel, and Danielle Johnson, all of Huntsville; four brothers, Everett Davis of Austin, Texas, Charlie Manuel of Jackson, Anthony Manuel and Rufus Manuel, both of Monroe, La.; a special sister, Dorothy Wilhite; and four grandchildren.
