FERRIDAY — Services for Charles Edward “Pete” Hauer, 76, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Heritage Manor in Ferriday, will be at 3 p.m. today at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Hauer was born March 24, 1936, in Natchez, the son of Carl Sr. and Hazel Latham Hauer.

Mr. Hauer was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Hauer; one sister, Alma Morris; one brother, Carl Hauer Jr.; and one grandson, Chris Staggs.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hauer and fiancee Scott Rowland, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Linda DeForest and husband, Walter, of Goshen, Ind.; one son, Charles “Eddie” Hauer Jr. and wife, Margaret, of North Carolina; mother of Carolyn, Linda and Charles Jr., Karen Hauer Ford; two stepdaughters, Gloria Buckles and husband, Rayford, of Ferriday and Sue Gardner of Harrisburg, La.; two stepsons, David Garner of Ferriday and Sidney Garner of Haughton, La.; seven grandchildren, Sarah Carrillo of Florida, Jessica Rife-Carrillo of Virginia, Lesia Sticca and husband, Mike, of Elkhart, Ind., Scott Babcock and wife, Dawn, of Goshen, Toni Blankenship of South Bend, Ind., Dezarae and Brittney Hauer, both of North Carolina; nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Jeannie Young and Debra Kirk, both of Yazoo City; close friend, Liz Moment; and a number of other relatives and friends.
