Tropical Storm Warning issued for Adams County, Concordia Parish

The National Weather Service issued a tropical storm warning for Adams County and Concordia Parish early Tuesday. Such a warning means forecasts expect sustained winds of between 39 and 73 mph to impact the area in 36 hours.

NATCHEZ – The National Weather Service issued a tropical storm warning early Tuesday for Adams County and Concordia Parish in anticipation of the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaac.

At 7 a.m. Isaac was still slowly moving toward the Louisiana coast with sustained winds at 70 mph. Weather forecaster suggest Isaac’s biggest threat will be from the significant flood event it is expected to create across the region.

The storm may dump up between 4 to 6 inches across the Miss-Lou.
