NATCHEZ — A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver suffered minor injuries after a tree fell on the driver’s car on Liberty Road shortly before 9 p.m.

Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said the driver was en route to a delivery when the tree fell on the car near Antioch Baptist Church. Mayfield said the driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Mayfield asks that the residents stay off the roads until the storm passes.

“Unless you absolutely have to go, please stay at home,” he said. “We have so many trees down and so many limbs and a lot of emergency personnel out on the roads. If you need us, call us, but please stay at home.”
