NATCHEZ – Services for Jim Thompson, 60, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.
Burial will be at Red Banks Cemetery north of Holly Springs.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Thompson was born April 8, 1952, in Holly Springs, the son of James Augusts Thompson and Addie Tucker Thompson. He was a general contractor.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey Daniel Thompson and Charles Jerry Thompson.
Survivors include his parents of Natchez; two sisters, Judith Thompson Weatherly of Marrero, La., and Natha Jean Thompson Jackson of Faulkner; one daughter, Joy Thompson Martinolich of Rhode Island; two sons, Justin James Thompson and Joshua “Jonah” Thompson, both of Marrero; nine grandchildren, Aubrey, Thomas, Christopher, Jennah, Angel, Chloe, Justin, Kamden and Jayden; one uncle, Dudley Gibbons Thompson of Potts Camp; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, wonderful friends and bickers.
