NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Lucielle “Lady” Rice, 58, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Linwood Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. a the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Rice was born March 14, 1954, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Phillip and Lubertha Bindon. She was a graduate of Jefferson County High School and was employed by Cock of the Walk for 23 years as head cook.
Ms. Rice was a member of the LE&C Society. She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with family.
Ms. Rice was Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Steven Lamont Bindon and wife, Nakita; one daughter, LaZenda Turner and husband, James; three sisters, Elcerlia Wilson, Barbara Jean Bindon and Francis McKnight; one brother, Emmetti Bindon; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
