LAKE PROVIDENCE, La. — In a game that would determine which team would get out of the cellar in LHSAA District 2-2A, the Lake Providence Panthers defeated the Ferriday Trojans Friday night, 44-12.
Lake Providence scored 14 points in the second quarter to go ahead 22-6 at halftime. Ferriday’s offense struggled to get anything going, and this time its defense could not keep the Trojans in the ball game.
Ferriday (1-7, 0-3) plays host to Sterlington next Friday with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
