COVINGTON, La. — Services for Charles Jerry Gayle, 67, of Covington, La., who died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in Covington, will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Covington.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., in Covington.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Gayle was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Ferriday, the son of Charles Dewitt and Maude Keyes Gayle. He had been a resident of Covington since 2005.
Jerry retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of active service and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Covington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara Crum Gayle; two daughters, Kay Deason and husband, Marshal, and Ann Rich and husband, Chuck; two brothers, Jim and Sam Gayle; and four grandchildren, Jack Deason, Carson, Colby and Ella Grace Rich.
