Olivia Lee Bordelon and Stephen Charles Michel were united in Christian marriage at Grace Presbyterian Church in Lafayette, La., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at a 6 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Richard Humphries, Father Tom Lalor and the Rev. Ann Sutton.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Bordelon of Lafayette. Her mother is the former Suzanne Green of New Orleans. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Green Jr. of New Orleans and Broussard, La., Mrs. Frances Bordelon of New Orleans and the late Mr. Vernon Paul Bordelon of New Orleans. She is a speech language pathologist at Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jules Michel of Natchez and Jackson. His mother is the former Lynda Jordan of Yazoo City. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clifford Michel of Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. John William Jordon of Yazoo City. He is the proprietor of Stephen Michel Land Design Group in Baton Rouge.
The bride was attended by her maids of honor Molly Catherine Bordelon and Kate McCormick Bordelon. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Michel Eidt, Amanda Tindell Britton, Sarah Mundy Estess, Catherine Russo Hales, Margaret Davis Pate, Rosalind Marty Robertson, Amanda Denise Stephens and Katie Antony Varnado. Ava Elizabeth Zito, served as flower girl.
Charles Jules Michel, father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeffery Jordon Michel, John Barr Biglane, Matthew Lane Carroll, Gerald Kiry Emerson, Matthew Steven Fields, Brennan Thomas O’Brien, Joseph Wesley Rogers, Wesley Richard Steckler and Nathanial Kenneth Stubbs. Serving as ushers were Marc Duane Escalona, Christopher Cody Fontenot and Brett Whitfield Marks. Jack Henry Stubbs served as ring bearer.
Scripture readers were Marcie Depta Carlton and Duncan Wray Eidt. Greeters were Julia Elizabeth Eidt, Margaret Catherine Eidt and Hanna Grace Bolling Michel.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette. After returning from a honeymoon at the historic Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.
