NATCHEZ — Services for Edward Roy “A-Roy” White, 60, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Aid Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael White officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Natchez.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home in Natchez and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. White was born June 5, 1952, in Adams County, the son of the Rev. Robert L. White and Nancy Curtis White. He was a 1971 graduate of North Natchez High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Alcorn State University for 23 years.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his father and three sisters, Janie Conway Miles, Dorothy Marie Minor and Lydia White Seals.
Survivors include one son, Kenrick Fells and wife, Tia; his mother; two grandsons, Tion Fells and Chayse Fells; four sisters, Gwendolyn White, Charlene White, Nancy A. White and Deloris White and husband, Tommie, all of Natchez; three brothers, the Rev. Michael A. White and wife, Joyce, of Port Gibson, Robert L. White Jr., and Walter L. White and wife, Debbie, all of Natchez; one goddaughter, London Thomas of Jackson; four special nieces, Elanda F. Wallace, Lachelle Smith, both of Natchez, Sylvia L. White and Bernice L. White, both of Irving, Texas; one brother-in-law, Anthony Seals of Natchez; his extended family at Alcorn School of Nursing, Helen Owens, Vanessa Johnson and Dr. Linda Godley and the faculty and staff at both the Lorman and Natchez campuses; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
