FERRIDAY — Services for Bert Tradewell, 50, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Kelly Johnston officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Tradewell was born Aug. 17, 1962, in Jonesville, the son of Bernard Ladale Tradewell Sr. and Billie Ray Wiley Tradewell.
Mr. Tradewell was a deck superintendent for Helmerich and Payne Offshore Drilling. He loved horses, hunting, shooting, fishing, music and singing. He had a great love for life.
His biggest hobby in life was his grandsons. He loved his family very much.
Mr. Tradewell will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Moody and Jennie Tradewell and maternal grandparents, William and Lois Wiley.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Delana Tradewell; his parents of Vidalia; one son, Trey Tradewell and friend, Whitney Pearson, of Natchez; one daughter, Brandi Tradewell and fiancé, Colton Smith, of Natchez; one brother, Thomas Tradewell and wife, Jennifer, of Lismore, La.; two sisters, Pixley Tradewell and Mitzie Cockerham and husband, Henry, all of Vidalia; one brother-in-law, Jason Davis and wife, Holly, of Brandon; father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Mary Miller Carpenter of Natchez; two grandsons, Cooper Ray Tradewell and Steven James “S.J.” Smith; nieces and nephews, Durk Brown and Katlyn Thompson, Robyn Ann Blaney and husband, Wesley, Jake Fuller and Emily Murray, Hank Cockerham, Lucas Cockerham, Shannon and Jason Jarreau, Mary Tradewell and Elliott Hebert, Bill Tradewell and wife, Chelsea, Shelby Cowan, Heather and Megan and Boo Wilkinson.
Pallbearers will be David Martin, Jimmy Wilkinson, Troy Lambert, Josh Holder, Andy Stidman and Bubba Faulkner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy “Boo” Wilkinson II, Ken Burnette, Kenneth Burnette, Dr. Justin Gregg and his crew and rigmates on Brutus 202.
