WATERPROOF — Services for Ricky Nelson, 27, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Frogmore, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Beard officiating.

Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Nelson was born Oct. 2, 1985, in Baton Rouge, the son of William F. and Stacy Nelson. He was employed by Armadillo Services Inc., and was a member of River of Life Church in Winnsboro.

Ricky was passionate about hunting, fishing and officiating baseball.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pasty Cain; one sister, Hanna Grace Nelson; and great-grandmothers, Mary Nelson and Annabelle Cain.

Survivors include his parents; one daughter, Ella Grace Nelson; two sisters, Tabitha Landry and husband, Drake, and Miracle Nelson; one brother, Jon-Christian Nelson, all of Waterproof; grandfather, Richard Cain of Ridgecrest; grandparents, William and Norma Nelson; aunts and uncles, Curtis and Missy Nelson, Glenda and Tyler Scott, Donnie and Mickie Cain and Ricky and Cheryl Cain.

Pallbearers will be Michael Nelson, Ashley Prunty, Bryan Fontenot, Cade Craft, Drake Landry and Wayne Phelps.
