BATON ROUGE — Funeral services for Rayford E. Murray, 83, of Baton Rouge, who died Saturday, June 1, 2013, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge with the Rev. Ron Lambe officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral home.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rayford E. Murray was a native of McCall Creek and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a master plumber and owned Ray’s Plumbing Company from 1968-1991. He was an ordained deacon at Pioneer Baptist Church for many years, and a member of Istrouma Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Tennie Temple Murray; his father, Oliver Winston Murray; his mother, Ruby Anderson Murray; four brothers-in-law Odell Temple, Sidney R. Spillman, Jerry Priest and Robby Crow; one sister-in-law, Adell Temple Spillman and one son-in-law, Carlo Michael Santangelo Jr.
Survivors include one son Thomas Wayne Murray and one daughter Brenda Murray Santangelo; grandchildren and spouses Kip and Chanda Santangelo, Tracy Santangelo, Matt and Cristie Santangelo, Justin and Carrie Murray Boudreau, and Todd and Aimee Murray; great grandchildren Trevor, Sydni, Kat, and Taylor Santangelo, Nathan Boudreau, and Ella Murray; brothers and spouses Oliver and Betty Murray Jr., Larry and Georiganna Glen Murray and Stanley David and Toni Murray; sisters and spouses Eunice Murray Crow, Estelle Murray Priest; one sister-in-law, Erma Stafford Temple, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kip Santangelo, Matt Santangelo, Todd Murray, Eddie Crow, Kenny Priest, and Curtis Murray.
