VIDALIA — Services for Ruth Wilson, 75, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Whitehall Cemetery in Vidalia under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Vidalia, the daughter of LeeAndrew and Lubertha Spotsie Wilson. She worked at the Natchez Democrat in the pressroom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Moore Sr., and Willie Spotsie; and one sister, Toisetta Lewis.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Wilson of Fairburn, Ga., and Deon “Patty” Wilson of Vidalia; one brother, Leon Wilson of Vidalia; a special nephew who was raised as a brother, Ernest Ellis and wife, Phyllis, of Ferriday; and three grandchildren, Jasmine, Darrell and Keyondrick Wilson, all of Vidalia.
