FAYETTE — Services for Oscar Eugene “Geene” Sanders, 84, of Fayette, who died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon today at Bethesda Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Kenny Wilson officiating.
Music will be provided by Earl Case.
Burial will follow at the Fayette City Cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Sanders was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Hinds County, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Susie Davis Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Eugene Sanders; one grandson, Mike Wilson; three brothers, Bobby Sanders, Joe Sanders and T.J. Sanders Jr.; and two sisters, Margie Shelton and Hilda Burns.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bessie Elise Sanders; two daughters, Cathy Wilson and husband, Kenny, of McCall Creek and Lisa Rayborn and husband, Keith, of Natchez; two grandsons, Wade Wilson and wife, Christy, of Flowood and Christopher Rayborn of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Megan Wilson and Jayce Wilson, both of Flowood; three sisters, Rita Beesley and husband, Bennie, of Fayette, Bonnie Moffett of Harriston and Susie Harrigill and husband, Claude, of Natchez; two sisters-in-law, Linda Sue Sanders of Fayette and Betty Sanders of Natchez; and one brother-in-law, Donald Burns of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Wade Wilson, Christopher Rayborn, Randy Burns, Geen Burns, David Southland and Patrick Sanders.
