GLOSTER — Services for Stephen E. Cox Sr., 63, of Buffalo, who died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mars Hill Church with Rev. Bernard Waites officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Cox was born Oct. 21, 1949, in Natchez, the son of John C. Cox and Ruth Cavin Cox.

Stephen was a disabled logging forman.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Walter and Florence Cavin; two brothers, William Nettles and Ralph Nettles; and step-father, Morris “Doodle” Nettles.

Survivors include his mother; one daughter, Stephenie Cox Temple and husband, Edwin Jr.; one son, Stephen Cox Jr. and wife, Michelle; two grandchildren, Rebekah Christine Temple and Edwin Cole Temple; two brothers, Bobby Nettles and Carl Nettles; and two sisters, Elizabeth Whittington and Sue Partin.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Covey, Chad Covey, Steve Ashley, Homer Nettles, Ray Nettles and Bo Nettles.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
