Rebecca Lynna Cavin and Brandon Glen Palmer of Monterey, were married Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the bride’s grandparents’ home on Poole Road in Vidalia, with the Rev. Michael Cowan officiating.

Parents of the couple are Anita Roberts of Collierville, Tenn.; Dan Cavin of St. Joe, La.; and Glen and Mae Palmer of Roxie. Grandparents of the couple are Burl and Ruby Roberts of Vidalia; and great grandparents are Curtis and Alyne Clark of Vidalia.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Heath Whittington.

The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather and role model Burl Roberts and her dad.

She wore a Carmia original, strapless, sweetheart neckline gown made of 100-percent white silk taffeta embellished with bugle beads, fresh water pearls and swarokski crystals. This dropped waist elegant skirt of 100-percent silk taffeta featured gentle pulls ups on an a-line skirt with a chapel-length train. The two tier elbow-length veil was embellished with hand sewn Swarovski crystal edging.

Brittany Scroggins of Natchez, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandy Hall and Sandy Hall, both of Natchez. They wore an Alexia Designer, short, chocolate brown, strapless, semi-formal dresses embellished with draping at the waist. The dress featured a rhinestone accent at the waist.

Darren Palmer of Natchez, cousin of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Hunter Walsworth of Vidalia and Thomas Allen Barron of Cash Bayou, La.

The bride’s pomeranian puppy Zoey and Holden Cavin of St. Joe, La., were the ring bearers.

A reception was at the same location following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Natalie Scroggins, Samantha Barron, Tabatha Sinclair, Heather Roberts, Debbie Kirby, Julie Floyd, Brenda Roberts, Molly Beach and Shelia Herrington.

After a wedding trip to Memphis, Tenn., the couple is living in Monterey.
