NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Welton “Dick” Smith, 80, and Carolyn Fulton Smith, 77, of Lake Concordia, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, in Ridgecrest, will be at 10 a.m. today at McNeely Road Church of God with the Rev. Brian Monehan and the Rev. Julius Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time at the church.
Dick and Carolyn were members of McNeely Road Church of God. They were devoted Christians, loving parents and grandparents. They enjoyed spending time outdoors, with family and telling others about God because He is the answer.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith were preceded in death by their parents Welton Sr. and Lottie Mae Smith; and Ollie and Alice Fulton.
Survivors include daughter, Terri Smith; two sons, Bruce Smith and wife, Missy, and Brad Smith and wife, Charlene; two brothers, Jerome Smith and wife, Betty, and Billy Fulton and wife, Elsie; sister, Bobbye Fullilove and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Karlee Smith, Jasen Cooper and wife, Lacey, Victoria Rae Butt and husband, Joey, and Sarah Smith; great-grandchildren, Tobey, Scarlett and Payton; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Allen Cooper, Ricky Moncrief, Bob Scott, Joey Butt, Jeremy Shaw, Josh Jenkins and Cade Leggett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for children or the American Cancer Society.
