Deborah Lynn Stahlman and Kevin Everett Prout of Bar Harbor, Maine were married in the presence of family and friends on Saturday Oct. 26, 2013, in Bar Harbor.

The afternoon ceremony took place on the lawn of the Bar Harbor Inn, overlooking picturesque Frenchman’s Bay and the Porcupine Islands. Their dear friend Kathy Durgin-Leighton, justice of the peace, united the two in matrimony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. H.I.“Cappy” Stahlman III of Natchez and Mrs. Colleen Prout of Lisbon, Maine and the late Kenneth Prout.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Carl Ferm of Bar Harbor, Maine.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She wore an original designer gown by Stephanie James of ivory silk with a tea-length, dotted-tulle skirt and peep-toe, pastel blue, fish skin shoes of her own design, along with a dove gray cashmere wrap.

Susan Jane Stahlman Drummond, of Prince Edward County, Va., sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Ashley Eve Prout, of Topsham, Maine, stepdaughter of the bride, served as maid of honor and Deborah Claire Drummond, of Prince Edward County, Va., niece of the bride, served as bridesmaid. They wore short dresses of chocolate polished cotton with pumpkin colored wraps.

Wyatt Everett Prout, of Topsham, Maine, the groom’s son, and Joe Peacock of Freeport, Maine, served as groomsmen.

Alexander Drummond and Isaac Drummond, of Prince Edward County, Va., nephews of the bride, served as ushers.

A reception was at the Bar Harbor Inn following the ceremony with music provided by the Osgood and Blacque Duo from Vicksburg.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside Bar Harbor.
