NATCHEZ — Services for Lewis Bruce Harveston, 65, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Harveston was born Dec. 6, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Lewis I. and Lula Bryant Harveston.
He was employed with International Paper Company for 34 years, and was employed at Natchez-Adams County Airport. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Mr. Harveston was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Lula Bryant Flint, and mother and father-in-laws, Adolph and Carrie Shealy.
Survivors include his parents, Lewis I. and Margaret Harveston, of Natchez; his wife; Nancy Harveston, of Natchez; three children, Lew Harveston and wife, Lindsey, Mark Harveston, all of Natchez, and Lance Harveston, of Brandon; two very special grandchildren, Grant Harveston and Karlee Ann Harveston; three brothers, Barry Harveston, and Prentiss Harveston, both of Natchez, and Shane Harveston, of Diamondhead; one sister, Melody Harveston, of Natchez; and a number of other family members.
Pallbearers will be Glen Mizell, Clint Pomeroy, John Carl Johnson, Sonny Stephens, Josh Goldman and Lee Thornton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmie Brewer, Dale Havard, Jerry “Killer” Goldman, James Crumpton Jr., Michael Madison, Sidney Malone and Porky Smith.
