NATCHEZ — Services for Sherman V. Gaylor, 50, who died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Church of Natchez with the Rev. James Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Gaylor was born June 18, 1963, in Natchez, the son of Ernest Gaylor and Dorothy Rice Gaylor.
He attended Adams County public schools.
He served in the United States National Guard. He was a former truck driver with Jordan Carriers.
Mr. Gaylor was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Catrena Barnes Gaylor; his mother; one son, Kamie Ikard Gaylor; two daughters, Cylynthia Mills and husband, Anthony, and Camesha Williams and husband, Tony, all of Natchez; one brother, Ernest D. Gaylor and wife, Fannie; two sisters, Patricia Gaylor and Constance Gaylor and husband, Arthur; three grandchildren; and a number of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
