FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Kysic Joseph Kupice, 96, of Monterey, who died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Columns Nursing Home, will be at a later date.

Services will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Kupice was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Jersey City, N.J., the son of Joseph and Mary Kupice.

He was a resident of Monterey and a member of the Catholic Faith.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Mr. Kupice was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lorelle Benge Kupice; his parents; one brother, Stanley Kupice; and one sister, Agnes Kupice Czekaj.

Survivors include his son, Martin Kupic of Monterey; one brother, Johnnie Kupice of Washington; one sister, Annie LeBarre of Pennsylvania; one nephew, Thomas “Red” Tiffee of Monterey; and one niece, Judy Cross of Monterey.
